9,000 miles in

Been a long time coming this update....

So how has the last 9months been...

We'll she's done 9000miles now, I've had a few mods fitted since my last post...

Overall, still loving it.

1230miles in...

I've now had the car for just over 2weeks and I've done 1230miles!

The car is going well, settling nicely into her stride.

I've added 2 modifications since picking her up.

1. Cruise Control - A simple indicator stalk swap out with a VAGCOM enablement.

2. "Premium Bluetooth" for the RNS510 Satnav - a comprehensive integrated bluetooth phone system that allows complete control of the mobile phone through the Satnav screen. Includes answering, dialing, phone book integration etc.

Very pleased with the car so far.

It's here!

I picked it up yesterday, with 13 miles on the clock.

It now has 90 or so and is going well.

The surge of power is quite amazing, very easy to drive.

Filled it up for the first time today... shock to the system.. £50!

All Paid

Thats it, I've now paid the £21,235.66 for the car.

So my bank balance doesn't look quite as healthy as it did a few days ago but at least the car is paid for now.

Just the small matter of 2 weeks between now and collection time.

Payments!

Tried to sort the Bank transfer, but it seems I can only send £10,000 per day :(

So I need to go into the branch and pay for a CHAPS payment.

This car buying lark, could be easier lol.

Insured

Seeing as I got the registration number last week, I called my insurance firm yesterday and sorted the insurance to start from March 1st.

Surprisingly I actually get a refund based on the S2000 I used to own.

So, all thats left to do now is sort the bank transfer next week so the funds are cleared ready for purchase.

Just under 3 weeks to go...

I've got a weeks training next week with work, then 2 weeks in Israel (with work) until I can pick up my Ed30 :D It's getting closer...

I found out the registration that been assigned to the car, so we're getting there.

This weeks job is to call the insurance company and get the insurance sorted as VW need the insurance certificate to tax the car come 1st March.

Really doesn't seem that far away now, especially as I'll be so busy between now and then.

Roll on 7th March (estimated collection date).
